From an FB Dr. Debanjana Roy's recent travel experience:
At 18400 ft at minus 10 degree
The gurudwambar (Gurudongmar) lake.....two third times in a year the road to gurudwambar is covered with ice.....
The temple...in name of the lama whose bliss keep half of lake nevr turnd to ice throughout the year....the sikkim tribal myth says that the whole lake had always been covered with ice for whole year.......the buddhist lama on request of the tribes stepped his one leg into the lake n turnd it into water forevr....evn whn the entire area freezes it nevr changes.....the shape of his foot is the clear regular demarkation line between ice and watr....
